THE COMPUTE MODEL

Onboard agility. Cloud intensity.

Compact onboard hardware handles the time-critical local safety layer. Grade Core’s planned VPS infrastructure handles the processing and storage workload that is impractical to repeat on every scale machine.

Lightweight Pi gateway

A Raspberry Pi gateway normalizes supported LiDAR, RTK, IMU, sonic, camera, and machine telemetry. It maintains local limits, watchdog state, communications-loss behavior, and bounded servo output.

High-intensity grade engine

Dedicated VPS capacity is planned to compare calibrated tool geometry against 3D design surfaces, process point clouds, build revisions, and return short-lived corrections through an authenticated command path.

Offsite Surface Vault

Large recorded scans, design surfaces, as-built passes, exports, and revisions can remain securely available without filling the machine’s removable storage or relying on one workshop computer.

Measured low-latency path

The production service is designed for low-latency operation, with live latency, data age, fix quality, and packet health continuously evaluated. Corrections expire instead of being applied when data is late, stale, or unsafe.

Cloud assistance never replaces local control. Actual latency depends on the user’s network, gateway, sensors, region, and project load. Normal RC radio control and an independent physical motor inhibit or emergency stop remain local.
SCALE APPEARANCE MATTERS

Use the precision hardware when the job calls for it, then return the model to its clean display or cinematic configuration.

Work configuration

Install the calibrated RTK mast, LiDAR, IMU, gateway, and tool sensors for measured grading, surface capture, and data recording.

Quick-release target

With a properly designed quick-release mounting kit, the sensor package can target sub-60-second removal. Actual removal time depends on the builder’s machine, wiring, mounts, and calibration design.

Pure scale configuration

Remove the development hardware for meets, transport, display, photography, or cinematic video without permanently changing the model’s factory-scale appearance.
